Today, I am starting Anna Campbell’s Seven Nights in a Rogue’s Bed, which is supposed to be a take on the Beauty and the Beast trope–even the cover harkens back to the Disney movie, the heroine wearing a yellow dress very similar to the one Belle wears in the iconic scene posted below.

The first time I saw Beauty and the Beast was in 1992 when it was first released in the movies.  My mom and I went to Crossbay II movie theater (now a Marshalls) for a girls’ day while my dad took my brother to Aqueduct Racetrack.  I don’t remember much about seeing the movie, but I have a clear memory of my mom going to a pay phone (those were the days) to call my dad to make sure that they were going to take an umbrella with them because it was starting to get very cloudy out.

Romance novels have been a part of my life since I was 14 years old and one of my neighbors dropped off a laundry basket full of Harlequins. From that day on, my nose was always in a book. I started my first review site in 2013, but took some time off for personal issues in 2018.
