I seem to be in a reading slump.  All day every day, I look at this pile of books that I borrowed from the library last week and I am just not inspired to read any of them.  There isn’t anything wrong with any of them, but I just am not in the mood to read.  Either the book doesn’t do anything for me or I can’t seem to pick one up.   Over the last few days, I have done nothing but watch re-runs of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Glee (currently listening to Wheels from season 1) on Netflix.

This is something I tend to do when I don’t feel like reading and I look at it as a kind of detox or a pallet cleanser.  The shows aren’t always the same, but the result is.  As soon as I’ve gotten it out of my system, I am back to reading two or three books a week.  I don’t know if it is because I read so much that I get to this point, but every once in awhile I get like this.  So, I was wondering, what do you do when you don’t feel like reading?  Do you switch genres?  This is something that I’ve heard people do.  How about listening to music?  Do you go out?  What do you do?

Romance novels have been a part of my life since I was 14 years old and one of my neighbors dropped off a laundry basket full of Harlequins. From that day on, my nose was always in a book. I started my first review site in 2013, but took some time off for personal issues in 2018.
