It seems that I am back in the reading swing of things and there are a few books that I’m chomping at the bit to read.

1.  Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness: I’m currently reading A Discovery of Witches and I am just loving it.  The writing is wonderful and I really like the world in which Diana and Matthew live.  Plus, 16th Century England.  Marlowe, Newton, Elizabeth I.  What isn’t to love?

2. The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion:  This is the October book club pick for the Smart Bitches website, and as soon as I read the blurb on Amazon, I was in.  A character like Big Bang Theory’s Sheldon falls for a woman that sounds like a slightly lower class Penny?  Bring. It. On.

3. Deadly Heat by Richard Castle: I am a huge fan of the television show, not as big a fan of the book series, but it is always fun playing Spot the Episode.

What books are you looking forward to reading?

Romance novels have been a part of my life since I was 14 years old and one of my neighbors dropped off a laundry basket full of Harlequins. From that day on, my nose was always in a book. I started my first review site in 2013, but took some time off for personal issues in 2018.
