Several of the books I’ve reviewed thanks to Netgalley are coming out this Tuesday.  I try to label the reviews as to when they’re coming out, but in case you forgot, here is a list of the three coming out on September 29th.

  1. Falling for HerFalling for Her by Sandra Owens: Ms. Owens is quickly becoming one of my favorite romantic suspense authors, even though I have only read two of her books.  I really enjoyed Jamie and Sugar’s story and thought that they were written realistically. This can be read as a stand alone novel, but is the third in the K2 Series.  Here’s the quick and dirty synopsis: Sugar is running from her past and only feels safe when she’s around the men of K2, especially Jamie, aka Saint.  Jamie is running from his past, too, but in a different way than Sugar and together the two fight their inner and outer demons, falling for each other along the way. 5 Stars

2.snowflake bay Snowflake Bay by Donna Kauffman: Snowflake Bay was a fast read that I enjoyed enough to keep reading it, but I doubt it will be on my re-read shelf any time soon.  This too was part of a series, but I didn’t know that when I started reading it.  Fiona and Ben were friends as kids, but they haven’t seen each other in years.  When they bump into each other, sparks fly, sending Ben reeling (Fiona had a huge crush on him when they were kids). 3 Stars

3.The Bollywood Bride The Bollywood Bride by Sonali Dev: I was really excited to read this book when I first heard about it, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype, in my opinion.  I had a lot of issues with the way Vikram treated Ria when she first got back to town and I really didn’t like the way that mental illness was portrayed, either.  Ria and Vikram were best friends as children and fell in love when she was just a teenager.  Circumstances kept them apart for 10 years, but now she’s back and they’ve got a second chance at Happily Ever After. 3.5 Stars

Romance novels have been a part of my life since I was 14 years old and one of my neighbors dropped off a laundry basket full of Harlequins. From that day on, my nose was always in a book. I started my first review site in 2013, but took some time off for personal issues in 2018.
