The book I’m reading, Mary Burton’s I’ll Never Let You Go, is about a woman whose ex-husband nearly killed her four years earlier and is back to finish the job.  The scenes from the ex’s perspective keep reminding me of this song.  My mom used to play this every once in a while and it always gave me the chills.  I told her that is was an ode to erotomania and that I couldn’t believe someone would make this into a song.  Watching the video was just weird because there were so many people just dancing to it and I wonder if they were even listening to the lyrics.

BONUS: Of course, this isn’t the only song that brings to mind a creepy stalker, watching his prey, although it is more overt about it than this next song, which has actually been used by couples getting married.  Shudder.

Romance novels have been a part of my life since I was 14 years old and one of my neighbors dropped off a laundry basket full of Harlequins. From that day on, my nose was always in a book. I started my first review site in 2013, but took some time off for personal issues in 2018.
