Today, is the 25th anniversary of the day my grandfather died.  He was 64 year old and died of lung cancer because he began smoking before anyone knew it was dangerous to do so.  I wasn’t even 4 when he died, so the memories I have of him mostly come from other people.  A few years ago, I asked my grandmother what his favorite song was.  She told me it was My Funny Valentine.  I have to admit that I’m not big on standards that weren’t sung by Dean Martin or Bing Crosby (there’s probably versions of this song by them somewhere, but it isn’t associated with either of them), so I had to go searching for a version that I liked.  This one is by Sinatra, and knowing just how Italian my family is, I imagine this is a version my grandfather would have liked.

Romance novels have been a part of my life since I was 14 years old and one of my neighbors dropped off a laundry basket full of Harlequins. From that day on, my nose was always in a book. I started my first review site in 2013, but took some time off for personal issues in 2018.
